Akhundzada Declares Defiance Against Western and Eastern Warnings

Kandahar: Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, has asserted that his administration remains unfazed by warnings from Western or Eastern nations. Speaking at a graduation ceremony for students of the Jihadiyah Madrasa in Kandahar, he emphasized Afghanistan's resilience against foreign influence.

In his speech, Akhundzada claimed that international powers, particularly Western forces, did not leave Afghanistan of their own accord but were compelled to withdraw. He dismissed any concerns regarding external pressures, stating, “Neither the West nor the East can harm us. We have firm faith in our beliefs and will not be swayed by their warnings or propaganda.”

The Taliban leader further reinforced that the current governing system in Afghanistan was not handed down as a favor or inherited but was secured through years of struggle and sacrifice. “This system was not gifted to us nor given out of goodwill. It was established through the blood and sacrifices of our people, through Jihad in the path of Allah,” he stated.

Meanwhile, political analyst Fazl Rahman Oria cautioned that continued hostility between Afghanistan and Western nations would be detrimental to both sides. He stressed the importance of diplomatic engagement to address ongoing challenges and safeguard mutual interests.

During his speech, Akhundzada also urged the newly graduated madrasa students to remain steadfast in preserving Islamic values and ensuring the continuity of Afghanistan’s current system.
